Carbonators
SodaStream Carbonators are made of lightweight aluminum to exacting standards set forth by the US Department of Transportation. We maintain the highest quality standards to ensure safety and purity of our CO2 refills. Carbonators are available in two sizes, to make up to 60 or 130 liters of soda or sparkling water per carbonator. A full, licensed CO2 carbonator is included with the purchase of every SodaStream soda maker kit. When empty, SodaStream takes back the cylinder to be cleaned, inspected, refilled and reused. Carbonators may be exchanged at select SodaStream authorized retailers. To exchange your carbonator in a store, bring your empty cylinder to a local retailer that stocks exchange carbonators.

SodaStream carbonators, whether used or full, are considered hazardous material by the US Department of Transportation and are subject to special handling rules. UPS and FedEx will not pick up hazardous material (used carbonators) from residences, nor will they accept them at UPS or FedEx stores or drop-off locations. PLEASE NOTE that this decision has no bearing on your ability to exchange carbonators at any SodaStream CO2 exchange retail locations. And, you can still order spare carbonators delivered to your home.
