Exchange carbonators can no longer be purchased on Sodastreamusa.com.
Only spare carbonators are available online.
Please visit a local retailer to exchange your carbonators.
SodaStream carbonators, whether used or full, are considered hazardous material by the US Department of Transportation and are subject to special handling rules. UPS and FedEx will not pick up hazardous material (used carbonators) from residences, nor will they accept them at UPS or FedEx stores or drop-off locations. PLEASE NOTE that this decision has no bearing on your ability to exchange carbonators at any SodaStream CO2 exchange retail locations. And, you can still order spare carbonators delivered to your home.
When your carbonator runs out of gas, you need an EXCHANGE carbonator. Bring your empty carbonator(s) to any participating retail location. They will swap your empty for a full one on the spot, for the price of the gas contents only.

Visit a local retailer!
Bring your empty carbonator to any participating local retailer that stocks exchange carbonators. Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, the Bon-Ton family of stores, Crate and Barrel, Kohl's, Macy's, Staples, Sur La Table, Target, Wal-Mart, and Williams-Sonoma are some national retailers that carry exchange carbonators. The retailer will sell you a full one for the price of the gas contents only. Most retail locations carry the 14.5oz. (60L) exchange carbonators only. (All retailers will accept returns of the 130L size, however; they may be exchanged on a one-to-one basis for a full 60L carbonator at the regular retail price.)

- Can I exchange my carbonator locally?
Yes! To exchange your carbonator in a store, bring your empty cylinder to a local retailer that stocks exchange carbonators. The retailer will sell you a full one for the price of the gas contents only.
Note: Most retail locations carry the 60L exchange carbonators only.
130L carbonators can be found at participating Staples locations nationwide along with select specialty and independent stores.
- Can I exchange my regular 15 oz carbonator for an extra-large 33 oz carbonator?
As long as your machine is compatible with the extra-large carbonators (i.e. you have a Revolution, Fizz, Fountain Jet, Dynamo, Design or Edition 1) you may purchase full exchanges in either size.
