You'll amortize your shipping costs over more carbonators, lowering your average shipping price-per-liter. Plus you can always keep a carbonator in your machine while you exchange the others. Depending on where you live, you will either leave your empties out for pick-up (by a local courier), OR your order will arrive via UPS, in which case SodaStream will send pre-paid return boxes with the delivery.	RETURN your empty carbonators to SodaStream as instructed in your confirmation email. SodaStream must receive back an empty carbonator for each full exchange carbonator in your order.

Be sure to check your order confirmation for the estimated delivery window of your new carbonators. SodaStream must receive an empty cylinder in return for each exchange carbonator that you order. Empty cylinders are cleaned, inspected and refilled with beverage-grade CO2 — and shipped out to other SodaStream customers.

To exchange your carbonator in a store, bring your empty cylinder to a local retailer that stocks exchange carbonators. The retailer will sell you a full one for the price of the gas contents only. Note that retail locations carry the 15oz. (60L) exchange carbonators only.
